Did you watch Friends? I’ve watched the whole series several times and I wouldn’t mind watching it again. Can you believe it’s been 16 years since the last episode of Friends aired on TV? Moreover, the popular American sitcom premiered on September 22, 1994. That was 26 years ago.
2. This year, Macaulay Culkin turned 40.
I almost dropped my beer when I first read this. WHAT DO YOU MEAN 40? He was just a child last Christmas. All kidding aside, the Home Alone famous actor is now 40, and the movie is 30 years old. The famous Christmas comedy film premiered on November 10, 1990.
3. Fight Club is 21 years old.
Yes, I know the first rule of Fight Club, but let’s talk about Fight Club for a minute. Can you believe it’s been 21 years since this iconic movie was released? And I’m not trying to hurt you, but back then, Brad Pitt was 35 years old and dating Jennifer Aniston. This year, Brad Pitt is going to be 57.
4. Michael Jackson died 11 years ago.
Michael Jackson would have been 62 this year. He died in 2009, which was 11 years ago. Remember Thriller? That album was released in 1982, which was 38 years ago. Yikes!
5. Seinfeld and The Simpsons are more than 30 years old.
I guess you can tell from watching Seinfeld that there’s something in the way they’re dressed, but 30+? That old? Seinfeld was released in 1989 and its last episode aired in 1998. Which was in the previous century. The Simpsons still go on, though. In case you were wondering they’re now at Season 32.

Raise your hand if you’re a Sex And The City fan! The popular series has been around since 1998, and after 94 episodes and six awesome seasons, it ended in 2004, which was 16 years ago.

J. K. Rowling released her first novel, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in 1997, which was 23 years ago. 4 years later, in 2001, the first Harry Potter movie comes out, starring Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter. The actor was 12 years old at the time. He is now 31.
8. Jenny from the block is 18 years old.
Just in case you were born more recently, “Jenny from the Block” is a popular song by Jennifer Lopez. The song was released 18 years ago, can you believe it? And 18 years later, Jennifer Lopez still looks amazing, at 51 years old.
9. Cell phones looked like this TWENTY years ago.
I remember my Nokia 3310 like it was a few years ago when in fact, it was a few decades ago. Two, to be more specific. These phones were so great! You had to charge them once a week, how great was that? We didn’t have internet, apps, or cameras on them, but we had Snake, and that was enough.

The front man of the rock band Nirvana would have been 53 this year. He committed suicide in 1994 when he was just 27 years old and had a two-year-old daughter. Smells Like Teen Spirit, the famous Nirvana song, was released in 1991 – 29 years ago.

The famous American actress & singer Marilyn Monroe and Queen Elizabeth II were born in the same year. While the Queen is doing well and looking great, Marilyn Monroe died in 1962, at 36 years old. That was 58 years ago.
12. Toy Story is 22 years old.
Toy Story was the first computer-animated feature film and the first feature film from Pixar. It was released in 1995, 25 years ago, in the previous century.
13. Tom and Jerry turn 80 in 2020.
Tom and Jerry have been around for 80 years. 80 years! That’s amazing!
14. Back to the future was 35 years ago.
It’s been 35 years since Back to the Future was released. Michael J. Fox turned 59 this year and Christopher Lloyd will turn 82 this autumn.
15. Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” is 37 years old.
Here’s a fun fact: the song was originally written and recorded in 1979 by American musician Robert Hazard. Cyndi Lauper’s version was released in 1983 – 37 years ago.
