Aww! This is such a cute story, it just warmed my heart. Check it out and share it with your friends!
Friendship is typical for humans, and not so much for animals. Especially wild ones! But as it seems, sometimes nature surprises us. This story warmed my heart.
Totally unexpected, out there in the wilds, a bear and a wolf became best friends.
This is so unexpected! While to us, they are both scary animals that could kill us, the wolf and the bear are pretty different. They don’t usually… hang out. Wolves usually live and hunt in packs, while bears mostly live alone, except for mama bears and their cubs.
Finnish photographer Lassi Rautiainen captured the unusual friendship between a bear and a wolf in the wilds of northern Finland.
These two folks, a female grey wolf and a male brown bear, somehow hit it off and became besties. Finnish photographer Lassi Rautiainen captured their awesome bond in the wilds of northern Finland. He observed them for 10 days and saw them playing, hanging out, and even sharing a friendly dinner.
The man observed them for ten days and saw them hanging out for hours every day.
No-one can know exactly why or how the young wolf and bear became friends,’ Lassi told DailyMail back in 2013.
‘I think that perhaps they were both alone and they were young and a bit unsure of how to survive alone.
‘It seems to me that they feel safe being together, and so every evening met up for their dinner.’
In the amazing photos Lassi took, you can see them bringing each other food, playing or enjoying dinner together.
Here they are, being playful together:
In the ten days Lassi observed the two pals, they got together every day and spent hours together. ‘When I realized that no one had observed bears and wolves living near each other and becoming friends in Europe, I concentrated more and more on getting pictures to show what can happen in nature. Then I came across these two and knew that it made the perfect story.’ Lassi said.
The wolf and the bear enjoying a friendly dinner:
They seem very comfortable together.
This bond between a wild bear and a wild wolf is truly unique:
Whatever brought them together, it's great that they have each other.
They seem to have a lot of fun together!
‘It’s very unusual to see a bear and a wolf getting on like this.
It is nice to share rare events in the wild that you would never expect to see.’ Lassi said.
