What do you think? Was she wrong?
As you may know, there is a community on Reddit where people share their stories and ask if they are being jerks. It’s called AITA (Am I The A**hole) and users ask the internet’s opinion on all kinds of topics. One of the stories was this grandma’s, who asked if she was wrong to demand being paid for babysitting her grandson. Here’s her initial post, below:

In the original post, the grandma said she demanded $15 per hour to babysit her grandson.
While many grandparents are thrilled to spend time with their grandkids, I can understand that people are different, and some could simply not want to. Also, the woman said she was working, so I can understand why this would be difficult for her. I mean… she can’t just quit her job.
Here's what other people thought:

Most people said she wasn't wrong to ask for compensation, but she was being a jerk for demanding outrageous pay.

Later, the woman edited her post and changed her hourly rate to $12.

However, considering her daughter's income, most people agreed that she couldn't afford it.

Not everyone thought she was wrong. Some thought she was actually right to ask for compensation.

Some people thought as a grandma, she should be happy to spend time with her grandkid, for free.
