This year, I hosted the New Year’s Eve small gathering at my place, which meant cleaning, cooking, and decorating all day. I can’t even remember what time it was when one of my friends announced Betty White had died earlier that day. What?! She was only a couple of weeks away from turning 100 years old. But as one of my dear guests said, she had lived an incredibly rich life, and maybe it was time for her to go.
